Data processed by Splivo

Splivo processes your profile name, email, authentication, group memberships, receipts, line items, shares and recorded settlements. Selected or captured receipt photos are also processed. Technical services receive connection data such as IP addresses and browser or device information.

Purposes and legal bases

Data is used to provide your account, split shared expenses and enable invitations, based on providing the functionality you request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Security and troubleshooting serve the legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional service (Article 6(1)(f)). You can change optional device permissions in your device settings.

Visibility within groups

Members of a shared group can see your profile name, email and shared receipt and settlement data. Anyone with a valid invitation code or link who signs in can join that group. Only share invitations with the people you intend to invite.

Technical services

Splivo uses Lovable for its published web app and Supabase technology for authentication, database and receipt storage. Automatic receipt recognition sends your selected image to the Lovable AI Gateway for analysis by a Google Gemini model. Optional Google sign-in uses Google and Lovable. Exchange rates use Frankfurter. The interface loads fonts from Google Fonts, establishing a connection to Google. Splivo does not make automated decisions with legal effects.

Local storage and sharing

Your device stores your login session and language preference. Signing out removes the local session. Sharing a group invitation starts only when you choose to share it. You select the recipient and send the message yourself through Messages, WhatsApp, email or another app; that provider’s terms also apply.

Retention and deletion

Account data is processed while your account is in use. You can edit your details and request account deletion in your profile, or contact the controller by email. Account deletion removes your login and profile details. Shared accounting records retain a technical reference to a deleted account while needed for group accounting. Personal information entered into receipt descriptions by users may remain; contact us for further deletion requests. Logs and backups are also subject to the service providers’ retention processes.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests where the legal conditions apply. You may withdraw consent for future processing and complain to a data protection authority.

Draft notice

This page describes the current test version. Before public release, the actual providers, processing regions, international transfers and safeguards, and retention periods need to be verified and completed.
